Description: Not a true algae eater as this species graze on the algae, but mainly feed on the bacteria and microorganism that live in it. Due to this, a well established tank is recommended. Overall, they are very peaceful species but will fight for territory with similar looking fish. Higher water flow is also recommended when keeping this fish.
