Description: A somewhat large predatory catfish with a peaceful temperament. Found in South America in the amazon, Orinoco, panama, and Paraiba basins, it lives a tropical life style in temperatures around high 70's to low 80's. They feed off a diet of small fishes, and semi-aquatic vertebrates like lizards, snakes, and small rodents. They are slow moving ambush predators using stealth and camouflage to catch their prey.
