Description: The Punctato Butterfly is a species for veteran aquarist. This fish originates from the Indo-Pacific and is characterized by its yellow color. The Punctato Butterfly also sports an orange band on its caudal, peduncle region. Unlike its similar cousin, the Pelewensis Butterfly, this fish's black striping pattern forms vertically, while the Pelewensis Butterfly's striping is in a diagonal pattern. A UV sterilizer and protein skimmer are a must to prevent parasitic and bacterial infections. In the right set-up these fish are active, sociable and peaceful. This species is not suitable for reef tanks as they will nip on corals.
