Found in south America, the Plumetail Platy are very peaceful and great community fish. These fish show off a beautiful reddish-orange color on the body, with a black dorsal, black tail fin, and can also have other varieties such as, mickey mouse, tuxedo, high-fin, and comet. The Plumetail platy is not a picky eater as it will eat all sorts of dry or frozen foods. Be careful mixing males and females as they will reproduce easily and can spawn up to 80 fry sometimes. The Plumetail Platy love being in planted tanks and really help keep fry safe being in these planted tanks. Mixing all males is a great option too as males typically are not too aggressive with each other.
