Description: This is a beautiful tetra that originates from the Araguaia River Basin in Brazil. Characterized by their bright red coloration, these fish are hardy, colorful, and an awesome choice for the beginner aquarist. Due to its small size, it is perfect for nano- and planted aquariums. The Amanda Tetras are best kept in groups of six or more, but they can live a healthy life as single individuals. They require slightly acidic water, peaceful tank mates, and hiding places.
