Description: Banjo Catfish are amazing scavengers and are named after their banjo-like body shape. They are light brown with dark brown patterning and little spines covering their body. This fish originates from the waters of the Amazon in South America. The Banjo Catfish can be found buried under silt and leaf litter in nature. This fish will appreciate a fine-grain or sand substrate. They also prefer dim lighting, thus plants and decor are recommended to keep this catfish. Banjo Catfish should be kept in a peaceful community tank, and they are not finicky, feeding on any prepared food.
