Description: The Apache Peacock is a species that is hybridized and technically "man-made." These peacocks are bred to produce the most vibrant coloration possible. The original wild peacock cichlids are endemic to the African Rift Lake, Lake Malawi. The Apache Peacock is characterized by its deep blue body with vibrant red highlights on the head, dorsal fin, and areas behind the gills. Peacocks will reach a max size of 6-7 inches and require a veggie-based diet.
