Description: The Banana Fish is a light gray-blue fish with bright, neon yellow striping across the body as a juvenile, and may develop green or deep red colorations as they grow older. Originating in the Indo-Pacific region, this fish has an interesting personality, and it may help sift the aquarium's sandbed. As a juvenile, this fish can be kept in a reef tank. As they grow larger, they can eat small fish and crustaceans. This fish needs a lot of room to swim, and a lid is required as they are known to jump. The Banana Fish is easy to feed, as they readily accept most prepared and frozen foods.
