Description: The Bicolor Foxface is a hardy, peaceful fish that originates from the Western Pacific, endemic to Fiji. The anterior two-thirds of its body is black, while the posterior region and caudal fin are a vibrant yellow. The Bicolor Foxface is an awesome choice for beginner aquarists with large reef or fish-only aquaria. It is also an excellent fish for removing bryopsis algae from reef aquaria. Foxfaces have venomous dorsal spines, so caution should be taken when handling fish or cleaning inside the tank. It can be aggressive towards other types of rabbitfish, so avoid mixing them in smaller tanks. This fish can be housed in both peaceful and semi-aggressive communities, due to its peaceful demeanor and its venomous dorsal spines, which deter more aggressive fish from bullying it. Be sure to feed this fish plenty of seaweed along with a high-quality marine fish pellet food and meaty frozen foods.
