Description: Bimac Hogfish are colorful, hardy fish that would be a great choice for beginner aquarists with mid-sized aquariums. This fish is bright yellow with red, horizontal stripes running along the body. They also have a black spot behind the eye and a red spot on the caudal peduncle region. The Bimac Hogfish can be found around outer reef slopes with sandy bottoms in the Indo-Pacific. This fish will happily eat all prepared foods, including pellets, flakes, and frozen. Be sure to house this fish in a tank with ample swimming room and rockwork. A tight-fitting lid is strongly recommended as this fish can easily jump out of the aquarium.
