Description: The Goldrim Tang is defined by its black-"purplish" body that develops as it grows. It also has a white mark beneath its eye, and yellow lining along the posterior part of the body. This tang originates from the Indo-Pacific, and would be a great addition to larger reef and fish-only aquariums. A protein skimmer and UV sterilizer are a must as this fish is prone to disease. Offering Vitamin C soaked pellets everyday can help with disease prevention. It is important to offer a good amount of seaweed, as this fish is herbivorous. They may also graze on algae that is naturally growing throughout the tank. Do not mix with Powder Blue or Powder Brown tangs, or any other similarly shaped Acanthurus sp. tangs.
