Description: American Flagfish are a species of killifish that are native to Florida. This fish is characterized by its silver base color with a black spot in the center of the body and alternating light blue and red horizontal stripes. This coloration and pattern is where they get their common name from! They are one of only a few fish that will eat black beard algae and hair algae! A tight-fitting lid is highly recommended, as American Flag fish love to jump.
