Description: Mappa Puffer's are from the East Coast of Africa. The Mappa Puffer is distinguished by its black "scribbled" pattern on a light brown or deep yellow body. It is important to feed them hard-shelled foods at least 2-3 times a week to help grind down their ever-growing "fused teeth" beak. They tend to be a more peaceful species of "dogface" type puffer. Do not mix with other Arothron sp. pufferfish. They do grow large, so a large aquarium is needed. They are best mixed in a semi-aggressive fish-only tank with larger fish.
