Description: Atya Viper Shrimp, also known as the Vampire Shrimp, are one of the largest species of filter-feeding, freshwater shrimp. They do best in live-planted aquaria with peaceful community fish. The Vampire Shrimp originates from fast-flowing streams in Western Africa. They prefer set-ups with a higher water flow. These shrimp are nocturnal and are most active in the evenings. Depending on the environment, water quality, and diet, the Atya Viper Shrimp can slightly alter its coloration. This shrimp would make a unique addition to any peaceful, planted aquarium!
