Description: The Gem Tang is considered one of "The Holy Grail" of tangs. Gem Tangs come from Mauritius off the East Coast of Africa. They are black with striking white spots along the whole body, and they have a yellow caudal fin. Tangs are especially susceptible to disease. Feeding Vitamin C everyday on pellet foods will help with disease prevention. A UV sterilizer and protein skimmer are STRONGLY recommended to keep this fish. They should be fed algae based foods and should cautiously be mixed with conspecifics.
