The Goldrim Tang is defined by its black-"purplish" body that develops as it grows. It also gets a white mark beneath its eye, and yellow lining the posterior part of the body. This Tang originates from the Indo-Pacific, and would be a great addition to larger reef and fish only aquariums. A protein skimmer and UV sterilizer are a must as this fish is prone to disease. It is important to offer a good amount of seaweed, as this fish is herbivorous. They may also graze on algae that is naturally growing throughout the tank. Do not mix with Powder Blue or Powder Brown tangs, or any other Acanthurus Tangs.
