Description: The Pinktail Triggerfish has an elegant black body with a bright pink tail that makes it a captivating addition to any fish-only or FOWLR aquarium. It is very shy at first but will become friendlier than many of the other triggers. It is very hardy and can be kept with peaceful fishes of equal size or larger. The Pinktail triggerfish occurs on coral reefs in tropical marine waters of the Indo-Pacific. The Pinktail triggerfish is also known from central to north-western Western Australia and from the entire length of the Great Barrier Reef south to northern New South Wales. The Pinktail Triggerfish needs a varied diet that includes meaty foods that includes squid, krill, clams, small fish and hard shelled shrimp to help wear down their ever-growing teeth.
