One of the largest Catfish that we carry, the Brachyplatystoma vaillantii grows to over 40 inches in length. Currently around 12 inches, it would be possible to start it in a 120 gallon tank or larger, but a large indoor pond is recommended to keep it long term. Be cautious adding plecos into a tank with one of these, as they naturally predate on them in the wild. They will also eat just about anything that can fit in their mouth so do not add with smaller fish.
