Description: This tang species is a semi-challenging marine fish. They are not ideal for beginner aquarists due to the fact that they are prone to parasites (ich), and this fish grows to be quite large! A UV sterilizer is strongly recommended to help with disease prevention. Feeding Vitamin C on pellet food everyday will also help with disease prevention. The Tonganus Tang is known to be widely distributed throughout the Indo-Pacific and Western Indian Ocean. This fish usually exhibits a silver coloration of the body with an irregular pattern of black spots below the dorsal fin, along with a big protuberance coming off its face, as an adult. The Tonganus Tang will appreciate a large FOWLR or reef aquarium with plenty of space to swim, along with a varied diet including both veggie and meat based foods. We do not recommend mixing this tang with other Naso sp.!
