Description: Two-Lined Monocle Breams are a good fish for beginner hobbyists. They mix well almost all other species of fish, eat readily, and are hardy. This fish is also a good choice for a "sand-sifter" as they will blow at the sand in search of food. As a juvenile, this fish has yellow striping along the dorsal area with a white belly. As an adult this fish will change to have yellow and black horizontal striping along with the same white belly. This fish is "reef-safe" as they will not bother corals; HOWEVER, they will eat crustaceans when they reach adult size.
