Description: The White Blanquillo is one of the largest tilefish species. This fish is very elegant with its all white coloration and its side-to-side undulated movements. The White Blanquillo originates from areas in the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean. They have a unique personality. They tend to do well in all fish-only aquariums, but caution should be taken as they can grow to be quite large. White Blanquillos can be placed into reef aquaria, WITH CAUTION, as they will not eat corals but will predate upon your clean-up crew. A tight-fitting lid is STRONGLY recommended as this fish can jump out of the aquarium. Blanquillos eat all prepared food. They do shift the substrate as well, so expect some digging.
