Description: The Queen Angelfish is a beautiful fish that originates from the Caribbean. As a juvenile this fish has a bright yellow head with a vertical, dark blue band going through its eye. The body of the fish, as a juvenile, is a mix between yellow and deep blue with vertical bright, turquoise stripes. As the Queen Angel grows into adulthood, they will lose their striping pattern. Adults have a full yellow body with a light-blue scale pattern. They also sport a striking, bright blue outline of the body, operculum, and eye that makes this fish almost look iridescent. Queen Angels are also known for their dark blue "crown" on their forehead. The Queen Angel may nip at fleshy corals, so take caution when adding them to a reef. These angelfish are sensitive and should live in an aquarium that has a UV sterilizer and protein skimmer for their long term health.
