Description: Desjardini Tangs originate from the Red Sea or Northern Africa. They have an elegant yellow pattern in their stripes and light gray freckling on their face, when compared to the standard Sailfin Tang. They are best known for eating bubble algae in reef aquaria. A balanced diet comprised of algae-based and meaty foods is best. Feeding vitamin C-soaked pellets helps prevent disease for parasite-prone tangs. Caution must be taken when mixing with other Zebrasoma sp. tangs.
