Description: Altolamprologus compressiceps "Kachese Gold" are known for their solid gold color with a distinct striping pattern and small iridescent spots. This is an African cichlid native to Lake Tanganyika, and it needs a pH of at least 8.2. These guys only get to about 5 inches when fully grown, but they tend to do well with larger African Cichlids (such as Mbunas and Peacocks), as well as other Tanganyikan Cichlids. When mixing the Altolamp. compressiceps with more aggressive cichlids, such as Mbunas and Peacocks, the Altolamp. compressiceps "Kachese Gold" should be a bigger size than the other, more aggressive cichlids.
