Description: The Achilles Tang is one of the most prized fish in the marine fish-keeping hobby. Keeping this fish can be very challenging, but it is also rewarding to successfully house the Achilles Tang in the home aquarium. This fish is dark navy in color, with highlights of white near the operculum and a bright orange spot on the peduncle region. This fish is extremely sensitive, so a UV sterilizer and protein skimmer are REQUIRED. It is best to add this fish to a stable, aged aquarium. If there are established tangs present in the aquarium, add the Achilles Tang with a group of other tangs. Do not mix this fish with other Acanthurus sp. tangs, specifically Powder Blue, Powder Brown, and Goldrim Tangs. A diet that consists of seaweed, fatty frozen foods, and pellets with Vitamin C is essential!
