Description: The Pelewensis Butterfly is a species for veteran aquarist. The Pelewensis Butterfly originates from the Pacific Ocean near Australia. This fish is characterized by its yellow body while sporting an orange band on it's peduncle, caudal region. Unlike its cousin, the Punctato Butterfly, this fish has black striping that forms in a diagonal pattern, while the Punctato Butterfly has vertical black striping. A UV sterilizer and protein skimmer are a must to prevent parasitic and bacterial infections. In the right set-up these fish are active, sociable and peaceful. This species is not suitable for reef tanks as they will nip on corals.
