Description: This is a great reef wrasse for most aquaria, reaching a max size of 6”. Many reefers adore this fish for eradicating coral reefs of pest flatworms. Melanurus wrasses readily accept and will aggressively eat all prepared foods. Melanurus wrasses do bury themselves for defensive purposes, so do not be alarmed if they go missing for a few days. You need a very tight-fitted lid for the tank as they may jump out of the aquarium. Wrasses may fight with other wrasses, be cautious when mixing.
