Description: The Asfur Angelfish is a beautiful, dark blue fish with a yellow crescent running vertically in the center of its body and a yellow caudal fin. This fish originates from the Red Sea and Western areas of the Indian Ocean. In the wild, this fish can be found around coral reefs, grazing and nipping on sessile invertebrates. A Protein Skimmer and UV Sterilizer are highly recommended, as large angelfish are susceptible to ecto-parasites. It is not recommended to place this fish into a reef tank, as they will nip at fleshy invertebrates. The Asfur Angelfish will readily and voraciously eat all prepared foods. It is important to provide a varied diet that includes sponge, veggie-based foods, and meaty foods. Feeding daily Vitamin C-soaked pellets will help prevent disease. Provide an ample amount of rockwork for hiding spaces. Do not mix with other large Pomacanthus sp. angelfish.
