One of the more aggressive Geophagus, the brasiliensis grows to about 10 inches and displays awesome blue "pearls" along its body earning it the name Pearl Cichlid. They often roam around the tank sifting through their tanks substrate, which is where their name Geophagus (earth eater) originates.
