Description: The Formosa Wrasse goes through different color morphs as it grows. As a juvenile they are bright orange with white stripes outlined in black. As an adult this wrasse has a dark body with black spots with red outlining the fins and an orange face with a blue diagonal stripe. As a baby this fish is relatively reef safe, but will start overturning rocks and hunting crustaceans as an adult. This fish needs a large aquarium with a thick sandbed. A tight fitting lid is highly recommended.
